Xavi comes from Terrasa, a town in Barcelona. His mother is called  Maria-Merce. He has a brother named Alex whom he calls “Xavi  Dos”, and a younger sister, Adriana. He has a dog, a labrador pure bred that he calls “Tro”, meaning thunder in Catalan. One of his best friends is Real Madrid’s Iker  Casillas, they played together as youngsters in the Spain squad that won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 1998. Xavi’s idols are Pep Guardiola, Bernd Schuster and Fernando  Redondo. His favourite singers are Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams,  but his favourite song is “Losing my religion” by REM. His favourite  cologne is Clinique Happy. He loves chocolate.
